The Factory D, Chicony Power Technology, constructed by CSCEC, recently received LEED Gold Certification, placing it among global exemplars of environmentally friendly green buildings.
The project team prioritized a sustainable, low-energy, high-performance building approach during design and construction. Early in the project, the team utilized BIM technology to create an integrated model, combining structural, architectural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) design data. This approach resolved potential pipeline clashes and ensured a first-time-right execution. During construction, an efficient, energy-saving smart management system was deployed to monitor real-time construction, optimize resource allocation, and eliminate waste. The team also incorporated green building materials, significantly reducing the facility's energy consumption. Furthermore, scientific planning of resource use and waste management processes minimized carbon emissions, establishing a model for green building practices.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is the world's most widely recognized and respected green building certification system, often referred to as the "Oscars" of green certification in architecture.
