Spanning approximately 22.4 kilometers, the line connects Hong Kong to the south and Dongguan to the north, with 16 stations, 11 of which are transfer hubs. It is equipped with the world’s highest-grade GOA4 fully automated driving system.

During the construction process, the project team utilized Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to precisely model cooling machine rooms, enabling the prefabrication of components. This significantly reduced on-site welding and hoisting activities, greatly improving construction efficiency.

Additionally, the team implemented an intelligent air conditioning adjustment system and smart lighting control system. These innovations allow lighting brightness and color tones to automatically adjust based on natural light intensity and passenger flow, while air conditioning output adapts to external temperatures. This not only creates a comfortable and inviting environment for passengers but also enhances energy efficiency, achieving an annual energy savings rate of over 24%.

The project also adopted the advanced CPⅢ track control network measurement technology, ensuring that geometric deviations in track dimensions were kept within millimeter-level tolerances. Furthermore, vibration-damping devices were installed on the tracks to ensure smooth train operation while minimizing noise impact on nearby residential areas.
