CSCEC recently completed the construction of the Fourth Bridge Project in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, which has now entered its warranty period. The bridge has significantly alleviated traffic congestion in Abidjan, offering citizens a more comfortable and efficient travel experience while modernizing the city's infrastructure.
The 7-kilometer-long bridge connects the Yopougon, Adjame and Plateau districts, drastically reducing travel time across the Banco Bay from over an hour to just 10 minutes since its opening in January this year. The bridge also played a crucial role in facilitating transportation during the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, helping ensure the smooth running of the tournament.
Throughout the construction phase, the project team contributed to local communities by upgrading village roads, leveling football fields, and donating equipment such as footballs, school supplies, and sports gear to several primary schools.
Additionally, the project team collaborated with local universities specializing in construction, establishing a long-term talent development initiative. Engineering students were invited to visit the project, offering local young professionals valuable learning and hands-on experience.
