Recently, at the 2024 Autodesk Design & Make Awards ceremony held in San Diego, USA, the CSCEC-built Guangyang Isle's ecological restoration initiative won an award in the Architecture, Engineering & Construction category.
The award, formerly known as the AEC Excellence Award, is one of the most prestigious international recognitions in the field of engineering digitalization.
The project used BIM technology to create a 3D model of the island's ecosystem, enabling precise ecological restoration with minimal impact on the natural landscape. The project also integrated BIM with carbon management to accurately control emissions and developed a digital twin system to support the island’s smart operation.
Today, the Guangyang Isle has become a popular destination for local residents, offering a perfect spot for recreation and tourism.
